We believe that our organization is more effective, our constituents are better equipped, and our supporters are better informed if we adopt an approach of continuous learning and reflection. In addition to our programmatic offerings, we welcome your participation in the following opportunities listed below.

- Take a deep dive into American history to uncover the roots of structural inequities and the ways structural racism impacts educational equity

- Join a group of people interested in discussing issues of race, class and privilege through books, literature and articles

- Be a Hannah Ambassador - Promote the Hannah Project in the community
- Join the Hannah Advisory Board or the Hannah Fundraising Committee

- Create a job shadow or internship opportunity for a high school student

Hannah Freedom School
The six week Freedom School experience offers a number of traditional and not so traditional volunteer opportunities that may match your talents or interests
- Like cleaning and organizing: Help set-up, break-down freedom School; set up a freedom school library
- Be a designated shopper for Freedom School e.g. art supplies, snacks, craft materials
- Document the Freedom School experience through photography or videography
- Help young scholars develop reading fluency and comprehension. One-on-one reading 20 minutes per day, four days per week.
- Organize a special field trip
- Teach a home-alone safety class for children
- Organize a community service project for a class of scholars
- Organize a kid-centered fundraiser e.g. car wash, bake sale for
- Teach a specialized workshop e.g. Art, music, science, etc.
- Help with World Culture Day, Social Action Day, or the Finale
- Host a family night event
- Babysit children during parent meetings
- Plan/organize a family outing
Advocate
Hannah Ambassadors
- A leadership opportunity for supporters who are interested in an on-going relationship with our organization and are dedicated to promoting the Hannah Project, our beliefs, and equitable education strategies. Ambassadors help increase fundraising, drive conversations, and/or build awareness of Hannah and equity needs - online, offline and through word-of-mouth. Ambassadors agree to undergo an orientation process and attend periodic briefings and meetings.

YOUR INVESTMENT WILL HAVE IMPACT
Over $450,000 awarded in college scholarships; 37 Hannah scholars have graduated college; 8 graduates are currently teachers or employed in the education field; 3 in graduate school in STEM fields; over 700 Freedom School scholars have staved off summer reading loss; 92% have improved reading gains of six months or more over the summer.
LEADERSHIP GIVING
A gift of $1,000 or more makes you a Leadership Donor. Leadership donors, in particular, inspire others to join them in providing hope and opportunities to individuals in need and strengthening communities. We hope you will consider making a Leadership investment in the Hannah Project at one of the following levels:
