Hannah CDF Freedom School Academy
A six-week Children’s Defense Fund affiliated summer enrichment program serving 50 students. Designed to help children fall in love with reading, increase their self-esteem, and generate more positive attitudes toward learning.
Year-round reading club designed to reinforce reading and language arts skills for students and to engage parents and other family members in intergenerational learning activities
Beginning Acting (Reader’s Theater)
Introductory acting class focused on building confidence, voice, character. Each semester of the course culminates in performance
Discover dreams and values
College Bound Brotherhood and College Bound Sisterhood
Youth development programs designed to foster service and build character, leadership, values, and decision-making skills.
Homework, tutoring, academic coaching and skill building (language arts, presentation, and time management) designed to improve GPA.
Performance Arts (Theater/Dance)
Develop personal voice and expression and an appreciation for heritage, culture, and history.
